VOICEsVOICEs create a space filled with sounds and imagery that defy what they've been taught, and challenge what you know. Experience a place where two drummers, knowing nothing of the machines and instruments they chose to take up, construct such hauntingly beautiful music, they awaken even your most subconscious dreams and fears. A sort of existential realization can occur when these two lovely girls envelope you in their rapturous style of melodic, and at times, rough soundscapes. Jenean Farris and Nico Turner, based in Los Angeles, came together in June of 2008 to break away from the musical mold they had been confined to in previous projects, to create something new - something authentic, something different. With no specific goal in mind other than artistic freedom and support, they set out to venture a challenging, yet rewarding path.They have just spent time in Brooklyn New York recording a new EP, produced by Prefuse 73 to be released on Manimal Vinyl, January 2010.
